The WHU New Year's Conference takes places at the Campus of the WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management in Vallendar and at the Rhein-Mosel-Halle in Koblenz. The speeches are held at the Rhein-Mosel-Halle while the workshops and the evening program take place at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management. Our accommodations are located close to WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management.

You will receive a confirmation e-mail that your data has been recorded. Please continue on our website and log in to your profile and provide us with all of the required information. Please upload your current CV with all information, including: education, grades, work experience, internships, and personal experiences. Please select the conference you want to apply for and fill in the information you are asked for. Again, you will receive a confirmation e-mail that your application has been successful.

No, unfortunately not. Due to an increasing number of applicants we cannot guarantee admission to all applicants.
The whole conference will be held in English but some companies will request their applicants to also speak German.
Yes, absolutely! Even if you are attending an academic program which is not related to finance you can still apply for the WHU New Year’s Conference. We are always looking for remarkable and interesting people. Some of our main goals are to create a conference atmosphere, which is rich in variety and to bring extraordinary people together in order to maximize the exchange of ideas.
You may apply as a student if you are enrolled in either a bachelor or graduate program. In general we do not have any requirements that you need to fulfill. We are proud to attract an ever-growing number of top applicants. Therefore, please take in consideration that we cannot accept every applicant since the number of participants is limited.
If you have finished your bachelor or graduate program and have already collected work experience or are enrolled in a MBA program please apply for the Professional Program.
For student and academic participants we offer free accommodation in our guesthouses or at a student host, including shuttle service between the guesthouses and WHU. After acceptance to the conference you can indicate whether you want to make use of guesthouse accommodation. The guesthouses have double rooms, which you will share with another participant at the conference. Please do not drive to the accommodations directly but check-in at the official conference check-in and obtain your accommodation information and key there.
During the application process you can enter the sponsors you are interested in. After you have been accepted we will try to match your preferences with the ones from the sponsors. Please have in mind that the number of participants for every workshop is limited, therefore in some cases it is possible that we need to assign you to a different workshop.
We offer our participants special deals in collaboration with the Mercure Hotel, Koblenz (limited availability). Please ask us if you would prefer another accommodation – we will be happy to provide you with alternatives. You will receive more information concerning your accommodation shortly before the conference.
You can check in at every time during the conference. We also offer a 24/7 Concierge Desk for our participants.
You will get the chance to get in touch with sponsors during our workshops, in the networking lounges and at our dinners.
Any academic engaged in the field of finance or covering related topics. This could be Professors, Assistant Professors, PhD students and all other kind of academics and researchers.
The participation fee for academic participants is 150€. This includes access to all academic speeches and workshops, accommodation, shuttle service, meals and snacks (+gala dinner), 24h concierge desk service as well as free WiFi-access on the WHU campus.
