Christof Bechtel

Head of Investment Banking Germany & Austria, Bank of America

Christof Bechtel is Head of Investment Banking for Germany & Austria at Bank of America and based in Frankfurt. He joined the firm in 1998 and has had various responsibilities in London as well as Frankfurt covering clients across Europe and the DACH region. Prior to his current responsibility Christof spent 10 years in London, of which 8 years in the Technology, Media and Telecommunications team of Merrill Lynch. Mr. Bechtel has extensive experience in client coverage as well as executing M&A, IPOs and financing transactions across Europe. He currently focuses on covering clients in the DACH region, driving the DACH investment banking coverage strategy and continuously developing the DACH investment banking team and platform. Mr. Bechtel studied at the European Business School in Oestrich-Winkel and holds a Master Degree in Business Administration. He started his career in Investment Banking at Lehman Brothers in 1996.
