Prof. Dr. Günter Franke

Professor, University of Konstanz

Prof. Dr. Dr. Günter Franke studied Business Administration at the University of Hamburg and the University of Saarland, where he earned a doctorate in economics. He served as Visiting Associate Professor at the Finance Department of Pennsylvania State University and completed his habilitation in Business Administration at the University of Saarland. He held professorships in Finance at Justus Liebig University Giessen and in International Financial Management at the University of Konstanz, where he taught until 2014. From 1989 to 1999, he served as Finance Coordinator at the European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management in Brussels. His research focuses on capital markets, risk management, corporate governance, and credit risk.
