Dr. Tobias Eichner is a Managing Director and Partner in the Private Equity and Tech Capital Practice at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and part of the Central European Leadership Team. Tobias has been advising private equity firms and their portfolio companies for more than 20 years and is heading the PE Portfolio Value Acceleration Capability for BCG in the region. His range of experience comprises full-performance programs, turnarounds, growth strategies, GenAI transformations and digital accelerations as well as complex M&A processes, carve-outs, IPOs, and commercial, operational, and tech due diligences. Tobias works across sectors with a particular focus on technology and industrials. He is enthusiastic about partnering with fast-scaling client organizations and about the positive impact of good private equity governance. Tobias holds graduate degrees with distinction from KIT (Industrial Engineering), University of Georgia (MBA) and Ulm University (PhD in Strategy & Finance) and is a CFA charterholder. His doctoral research on turnaround management was awarded the “Schmalenbach Preis”. Prior to joining BCG, Tobias has gained experience as a Partner at McKinsey and Oliver Wyman.
